Laser Hair Removal in Granite Bay
Getting rid of unwanted hair doesn’t have to be a painful chore anymore with laser hair removal
Hair is finicky business. We’ll go to great lengths to keep a full, luxurious mane, yet unwanted body hair has no problem popping up on its own, again and again. If you’ve had it with shaving, waxing and other painful yet temporary hair removal options, take a look at laser hair removal.
By destroying the hair follicle itself, our Clarity Laser by Lutronic can prevent hair from growing back in an area indefinitely. Treatment is downtime-free, and within a few short months unwanted hair will no longer be a problem.
Why we use the Clarity Laser at Granite Bay Cosmetic Surgery
We’re all about advanced technology, but only if it works in our patients’ favor. The Clarity Laser by Lutronic does. The uber-versatile Clarity uses dual wavelengths for precise, yet thorough treatment and a large spot size, which can treat a much larger surface area with each laser pulse compared to other lasers. It’s built-in cooling technology immediately cools the skin after each laser pulse, minimizing trauma to skin and keeping you comfy!
This not only aids in effective hair removal, but also improves your experience in multiple ways:
- Treatment is lightening fast compared to older lasers
- We can treat a variety of skin types and hair colors and thicknesses
- Results are predictable
- We can safely de-hair an area in as little as 3 or 4 treatments
- It’s way less painful than waxing (you’ll feel a mild snapping sensation)
Where can I have laser hair removal done?
Anywhere there’s unwanted hair, laser hair removal can be used to greatly reduce or eliminate hair. Most common places patients get laser hair removal include:
- Bikini Area
- Face and neck
Is the Clarity Laser safe for darker skin?
The Clarity uses a long-pulsed Nd:YAG laser, which is generally safer for darker or tanned skin. However, like most hair removal lasers, the best results are usually seen when the hair pigment is darker than the skin pigment.
The only way to know for sure whether or not any treatment is appropriate for you is to consult with an experienced, licensed medical professional. Contact us here to schedule a consultation.
How many treatments will I need?
Currently, there’s no way around having multiple treatments to completely remove hair in an area. The follicle must be treated during the active growth phase (which occurs every few weeks), and not every follicle in an area is on the same cycle. On average, patients need 3 to 6 treatments, spaced a few weeks apart, to get the results they want.
Are laser hair removal results permanent?
Laser hair removal is intended to be permanent, and in most cases it is. However, it is possible for hair to regrow in the area, mainly due to hormonal changes or aging. Any hair that does grow back will typically be finer, sparser, and lighter in color.
