BOTOX & Dysport Injections in Granite Bay

The wrinkle-fighting weapon of choice for more than 4 million people each year.

Are you tired of looking in the mirror or glancing at yourself on Skype and noticing nothing but those lines between your eyes? Join the club. “Expression lines,” such as frown lines, crow’s feet, and brow furrows are some of the most bothersome—and earliest—signs of facial aging, and they make us look grumpy, tired, or worried even when we’re not.

BOTOX Before & After

If you’re plagued by lines around your eyes and forehead, neuromodulator injections (a.k.a BOTOX® Cosmetic or Dysport®) can help. These popular, convenient, and proven injectable wrinkle treatments help your facial muscles relax, smoothing expression lines and helping you look younger, better rested, and more approachable.

How neuromodulators help reduce frown lines, crow’s feet & much more

We all make habitual facial expressions without realizing it—squinting, furrowing the brow, or scrunching our eyelids together. When we’re younger, our skin is firm and elastic enough to bounce back. But over time, as skin loses elasticity (and we’ve been scrunching our brow for that many more years), these wrinkles tend to stick around.

As “neuromodulators,” BOTOX and Dysport work by blocking nerve impulses to specific muscles in the face, causing them to relax and keeping us from making subconscious contractions. As a result, wrinkles soften and we look younger and better refreshed. Either can be an excellent choice to treat:

  • Frown lines (glabellar lines)
  • Crow’s feet (peri-orbital lines)
  • Forehead creases
  • Chin “cobblestoning”
  • Downturned corners of the mouth

How can I be sure my results will look natural?

The neuromodulator does the work, but the provider gets the great results. Not everyone offering BOTOX or Dysport has the same level of training and skill. It’s not enough to know how to administer the injections; a provider needs to have extensive knowledge of facial anatomy so she can safely place the exact amount of product in exactly the right locations to achieve effective wrinkle reduction without the dreaded “frozen face.”

Our expert injectors have undergone specific training and have extensive experience performing injections with skill and artistry. They’ve helped hundreds of men and women of all ages and skin types refresh their appearance and works closely with our surgeons to ensure your treatment plan will give you the best possible outcome. You’ll be able to make normal facial expressions, and you won’t have to worry about anyone thinking, “she had BOTOX.”

What to expect with your Granite Bay neuromodulator treatment

After discussing your goals and evaluating your area of concern under our surgeons’ supervision, your injector will give you an ice pack to apply to the injection area. After cleansing the skin, they will inject the neuromodulator into the appropriate muscles. Expect 2 or more injections, depending on your goals, but don’t expect pain—most patients only feel a tiny pinch.

BOTOX Before & After

The whole shebang takes 15 to 30 minutes, and then you can go about your day. Injection sites may be a little red, tender, and slightly bruised. You can reduce your likelihood of bruising by avoiding ibuprofen and other NSAIDs the week before treatment.

When will I see results with BOTOX or Dysport?

BOTOX results aren’t instant, but you should notice improvement within a few days of treatment. Full effects are in place after within 1 to 2 weeks and last about 3 to 4 months on average. Dysport tends to work a little more quickly—some patients notice improvement within a day or two.

To keep your refreshed look, come back in for a follow up treatment—over time, you may even cool down the face-scrunching habit and need fewer treatments or less product to sustain your results.
